The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at St. Helen Catholic Church in Junction City for Charles Rissberger Dé Cuman of Eugene, who died July 28 of age-related causes. He was 92.
Recitation of the rosary and a visitation will be held prior to the Mass at 10 a.m. Friday.
He was born Feb. 28, 1920, in Portland to Charles and Clara Grove Dé Cuman. He married Clara Stangeland on Jan. 12, 1941.
He graduated from Roseburg High School in 1938 and attended Oregon Agricultural College. He served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. Following the war, he worked as a carpenter and then for 37 years for Pacific Northwest Bell.
Survivors include four sons, Glen Rissberger of Gladstone, John Rissberger of Donald, Robert Rissberger of Junction City and Tom Dé Cuman of Salem; five daughters, Janie Wright, Mary Dé Cuman-Clyde and Cyndi Adeniji, all of Eugene, Nancy Dé Cuman-Kinnard of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Susan Parry of San Diego; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at 3 p.m., Friday in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Eugene.
Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City. Remembrances to the St. Helen Catholic Church or St. Mary Catholic Church.
