Paul S. Juras, 59, passed away at his residence on Monday, Dec. 17, 2007. He was a lifelong resident of Racine, Wis., born on Sept. 14, 1948, to Frank P. and Georgette (nee: Boulard) Juras. He was a 1966 graduate of Washington Park High School. On June 22, 1974, Paul was united in marriage to Robin Welsh at Evangelical United Methodist Church. He had been employed at Powerbrace Corp. as a Mechanical Designer for 23 years. Paul was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church and Powerbrace golf league. He was an avid Packer and Chicago Cubs fan and found great enjoyment visiting Grandad’s Bluff in LaCrosse, where he found solitude and peace with his wife, Robin. Surviving are his wife, Robin; and their children, Phillip (Lisa) Juras and Carri Juras; granddaughter, Madison; father, Frank Juras, all of Racine, Wis.; two special cousins, Mark Welch of Naples, Fla., and Joy (LeRoy) Clausen of Racine, Wis.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kevin (Diane) Welsh of Duluth, Minn. Further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends. And his beloved dogs, Muffy and Cubby. He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgette; aunts, Georgine Welch, Harry (Suzanne) Merry and Ann (Harold) Bishop. Funeral services will be held at Evangelical United Methodist Church, corner of 11th and Main St. on Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at 6 p.m. with Rev. Creighton Kaye officiating. There will be a time for family and friends to meet at the church on Friday evening before services from 4 p.m. until time of service. Memorials to the American Heart Assoc., 4701 W. 7th St., Minneapolis, MN 55435 have been suggested. A special thank you to Wheaton Franciscan – Hospice Care, the nurses on 2b; Dr. Tierney, Dr. Gierahn, Dr. Ansani, Dr. Dhingra and Mary Dutkiewicz and Joyce from cardiac rehab for the fine care Paul received.
