BAGEANT, Charlotte (Age 87) – entered into rest November 22, 2005 in Spokane. She was born March 22, 1918 in Lamont, WA and was raised part of her childhood on the Lamont family farm, then moving to Spokane and on to Colfax, WA where she graduated from Colfax High School in 1936. Charlotte attended Kinman Business College in Spokane, graduating in 1939.

She married her high school sweetheart, Earnest, in 1939. She returned to Lamont in 1946 with her husband and daughters Kaye and Gayle. Two sons joined the family, Ed in 1946 and Craig in 1949. They lived on the farm for 19 years. After the passing of her husband, Earnest, in 1965 Charlotte moved to Spokane. Mom was very active in the Lamont community, Lamont Grange #889, Sprague Order of Eastern Star (she held the office of Worthy Matron and was a Grand Officer for the Grand Chapter of Washington in 1962). She belonged to the Retired Public Employees Association #13 for 20 years, holding the office of President- Secretary-President for the East Side Chapter and Vice President for 10 years. She was secretary for the Librarian of Spokane Community College for 15 years.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Earnest (1965); parents Emmett KELLY (1974) and Gussie (1927); one sister (at birth in 1921); one brother Robert KELLY (1991) and grandson Bryan BAILEY (1992).

She is survived by one sister, Anna Lee TAVARES, Spokane; sister-in-law Wilma AUNE, Colfax, WA; four children, daughter Karolyn Kaye BAILEY and husband Jim, Lamont, WA, daughter Gayle MOONEY and husband Dale, Connell, WA, son Ed BAGEANT and wife Georgia, St. John, WA and son Craig BAGEANT and wife Marion, Spokane; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Charlotte was a loving mother and grandmother, involved in her kids and grandkids lives. She lived life fully and has left a huge void in all our lives. Mom, your memory is our keepsake with which we’ll never part. God has you in His keeping-we have you in our hearts! A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2005 at 1:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home. A private interment will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice, P.O. Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210.
