Marcella Marie (Wessell) Giorlando, was born on November 24, 1929 and passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 while surrounded by family at Autumn Woods Nursing Home in Warren, Michigan after battling cancer.
She is pre deceased by her beloved husband, Thomas Matthew Giorlando (April 1982); her son, Thomas Richard Giorlando (April 2014); her sisters, Shirley Geill, Dorothy (Dodo) Wottowa, and Gloria Shearer.
She is survived and very loved by her children: Frank (Diane) Giorlando, Sharon (Henry) Litz, Rosemarie (Douglas) Patrick, Kenneth (Patricia) Giorlando, and daughter-in-law Regina Giorlando; and her sister Bernie (Roy) Parsons and brother, John (Beverly) McNall. She is survived and dearly missed by her grandchildren: Brian Litz (Stephen Patterson), Kristy Litz, Jannis Litz, Maegen Robinson, Michelle Giorlando (Dan Newport), Marcy Giorlando (Brandon Moore), Frank Giorlando, Theresa (Brent) Teeter, Daniel Patrick, Christina (Nicholas) Lopez, Thomas (Samm) Giorlando, Robert Giorlando, Galen Patrick, Miles Giorlando, and Rosalia Giorlando. She is survived and loved by 11 great-grandchildren: Cole Lopez, Lillian Robinson, Greyson Teeter, Sage Robinson, Isabella Robinson, Milana Lopez, Henry Litz, Allston Teeter, Benjamin Giorlando, Adelaide Giorlando, and Morrison Teeter.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who will miss her as well. Marcie was very proud of her family and considered them to be her greatest joy in life. She adored every stage of motherhood, grandmotherhood, and great-grandmotherhood. She enjoyed music, spending time at the family cottage, going to the casinos and bowling. Christmas was a favorite time of year for her and she made it special for the entire family. Her traditions are being carried on and will keep her memory alive in each of us.
In lieu of flowers donations may go to the family, in Sharon Litz’s name. A Memorial Service will be held 7PM Monday, January 23, 2017 with a visitation beginning at 2PM at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 25800 Harper Ave, St Clair Shores. Cremation to follow services.
