Port Angeles resident Kenneth Alan Hermer died in Arlington at age 32. Cause of death is pending.
He was born in Long Beach, Calif., to Alan and Janet (Saalfeld) Hermer and graduated from Edison High School in Huntington Beach, Calif., in 1989.
He earned an associate degree from Orange Coast College, Costa Mesa, Calif., in 1992.
Mr. Hermer, who was a commercial flower grower, lived in Port Angeles the past three years and was preparing to return to California.
He particularly liked lilacs and enjoyed sharing good times with his dog, Boo.
Mr. Hermer’s interest in sports included surfing, kayaking, fishing, snowboarding. He, also, enjoyed music, gardening and camping.
Survivors include his mother and father and stepmother Sandy Hermer, all of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and sisters Linda Hermer-Vazquez of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Laura Hermer of Missouri City, Texas.
Services: Saturday, Aug. 16, at 8 a.m., memorial in Saints Simon and Jude Church, 20444 Magnolia Ave., Huntington Beach, Calif. Weller Funeral Home, Arlington, is in charge of arrangements.
