Terry Duane Batchelor Sr. of Port Angeles died in Seattle of cancer at age 59.
He was born in Clifton, Colo., to Arthur Vernon and Ardith Rose (Stahl) Batchelor.
In 1964-68, he served with the Navy and was a member of the military police.
Mr. Batchelor, who retired from employment with Brinks in Washington, D.C., also worked 10 years for the U.S. Postal Service in Sequim.
He was a member of the Teamsters, American Legion, Salvation Army and Independent Bible Church.
Mr. Batchelor, who greatly enjoyed using a computer, collected antiques through Internet shopping. Additionally, he loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing.
His marriage to Yvonne Batchelor ended in divorce.
He is survived by son Terry Duane Batchelor Jr. and daughter Tina Peterson, both of Port Angeles, and daughter Kimberly Batchelor of Reno, Nev.; mother and sisters Vera Mayhak and Cindy McFarland, all of Port Angeles, and sister Judy Johnson of Moses Lake; brothers Jim V. Batchelor and Larry D. Batchelor, both of Sequim; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and by one grandson.
Services: Sunday, Aug. 17, at 3 p.m., memorial in Drennan-Ford Funeral Home, 260 Monroe Road, Port Angeles. The Rev. Steve Devine of Little Brown Church of Blyn will officiate.
